Someone who I know that is a good public speaker is Dr. Vincent. She is my professor for my pharmacy class and is one of my advisors. In class she presents herself really well and is interactive with the class. Something I like that she does when presenting is that she asks the class periodically if we have any questions. This gets the class involved and definitely gets everyone’s attention back in the presentation if anyone strayed away. She uses body language to match what she is saying but she doesn’t overuse her hand movements. She almost always uses eye contact with the whole class unless she is switching to a new slide in the presentation. Her pace is calming because it’s not too fast where it’s overwhelming, but it’s also not too slow and boring. She is really good at speaking with an easy-going tone and does not seem intimidating as some other college professors may.
