Speech 3
BRAINSTORM
Person: my mom (Funny, inspiring, motivating. I think I would be capable of talking about my mom because she is like a best friend to me.)
Strengths:
-very patient with me and always tries to understand where I am coming from when we are in disagreement.
-respective and supportive of my decisions now that I’m older, she has definitely had to learn how to become less authoritative now that I am living on my own away from home
-she is the backbone to my family, always is the center of our laughs and makes sure we all feel loved
-one of the most selfless people i know, she will ALWAYS put be and my brother first
What I’ve learned from her:
-always take your time with things, whether it’s with school, friends, and boys, always learn to take a step back and look at the big picture. I was always a very decisive person on the spot and my mom has helped me think my actions through more rather than living on the spur of the moment
-keep your people close to you– I was always one to push people away and never let them into my real life, but she taught me to be more trusting and loving with others
